Challenge

Me, originally uploaded by madsexyswede.

So my dear friend Wil decided to see if I was up to this challenge. What I needed to do was to blog about my 6th photo on my 6th flickr page and here it is! This photo was taken before I had found out about the wonderful Lightroom so there is actually a later edition of this photo in my flickr. I took this photo just to try out my new lipstick, and it turned out quite well. I like the colors a lot and I really miss how tanned I was in summer! Now comes the hard Challenge to chose my victims… I don’t know if I was supposed to chose people from my Twitter, but im gonna be brave and chose some from my Plurk instead. That is because I don’t know who (other than Wil) that has flickr on my Twitter. I chose Kendra and Deepsha

Freedom

Isn’t it just great to be free? But what is freedom? I think freedom can be many different things and right now I am thrilled by the feeling of finally being free from school. Sure I might continue studying later, but for the moment I’m simply free.

What I most have been looking forward to is the feeling to be free and done when I come home after working because when I was both working and studying there was always something I could and should study. Now I only have work left and it feels rather strange. I still get that stressed feeling that I have something that needs to be done.

I am free to do whatever I want and since I only work by the hour I can take my things and leave anywhere at any time and I love that feeling.

FREEDOM!! It’s great =)

Back to normal

It is now the 4th week of school and everything is back to the normal rythm and pattern. Back to normal for me is a very stressy weekend with 2 jobs (restaurant in the evenings and the shop in the mornings) and barely any sleep. The only time I take time off is if a friend has a party or I have to do something with my family and then I still don’t get that much sleep so I always look forward to the actual week. In the week I study, sing, work out and i even work at the restaurant some evenings, so my weeks are pretty busy too. But I hate having nothing to do so I am really enjoying the way my life is at the moment (though I’d love to get just a bit more sleep).

Something I really miss right now though is adventures and experiencing new things, but I have a lot of things coming up soon that keeps me working hard to be able to meet my goals. The first thing coming up is that I’m going back to Germany to see my friends there. After that I might go to Vienna for a week when im free from school with 2 friends (one of them has a house there). If we go I think it will be an awesome experience since I’ve never been to Wienna =). In March I will go back to Morocco again but this time it will be for both pleasure and school. We have to write a paper on cultural differences, ecaxtly what we are going to compare my teacher hasn’t told us yet. The only thing I know is that I am going to compare Morocco and USA, so naturally I’m going to USA soon too. I head off for USA in the beginning of April and will stay there for 3 weeks.

Then there is one final thing I really look forward to and that is my graduation and graduation prom in June. Allthough I like learnin, I’m growing a bit tired of having the preasure on me to learn what I should and not always what I want. If I decide to take up my studies again in university (whish I am pretty sure I will) it will ofcourse only be something I really like. That I really look forward to. I am thinking about studying in London at London Metropolitan University, something called international relations & peace and conflict studies. I find that very interesting and it would also be really interesting to live in London (and expensive).

So that some of what I think about these days. Thought it was time for some new info out here.

Never be bored again.

This weekend I was all alone at the school campus and I didn’t even have anything to study so halfway through saturday I was out of “normal” things to do. I thought “I will be so bored the rest of the weekend”. Then a thought struck me, something a friend told me once, it was something like there is never a need to be bored or the world is too full of things to do to have time to be bored. A very wise thing to say, in my oppinion.

So I decided to do something allthough nothing came to me like lightning so I sat down at my computer and looked through the pictures from Morocco. There I saw a picture of Youness, one of the entartainers there. His face was half in sunlight half in shadow and I can remember thinking if that would be hard to draw.

I really like drawing faces, but so far I have only done what I know I can do. It was a challenge and I went to get my pencills and some paper. The truth is that it was harder to draw something I’m not used to, but it was fun to see how well I did (I’m not great but for me it is a really good drawing). So those who are interested in how it looks, here is how it turned out.

Marocco – a girls paradise and hell

I don’t really know what I should say about Morocco, i both loved it and hated it. I have never in my life got as much compliments as I did there yet it felt really creepy sometimes when the guys were giving a little bit too much attention. Allthough at the hotel it was no problem. We stayed at a hotel called Coralia Club La Kasbah and it was so beautiful, the pool area seemed to be taken right out of a dream. I was there with my sister Caroline, her boyfriend Kecke (Andreas) and her friend Malin.

Swedish people rarely go anywhere in Sweden for a holiday, it is only to visit a relative or maybe to go skiing in Sälen, otherwise we prefer to travel to warmer countries. Swedish people goes to places like Thailand, Malorca and Ibiza. Most young people go only to party all night long and very often they come home paler than when they left. That was not the kind of vaccation we wanted though, so we didn’t choose any of the “normal” places. Also at most of those places it isn’t warm enough at the moment.

We were choosing between Morocco and Egypt and I was quite disapointed when the others all wanted Morocco but I thought it could be nice anyway. Now I’m very happy we chose Morocco cause I had so much fun there. And the people working there were the most friendly people I ever met. I’m going back there over Easter to visit my new friends at the hotel. Those I became closest friends with are Youness and Mario.

My sister and the others they preferd to only hang out in our little group of 4, or at some occations they spoke to the other Sedish people there. I on the other hand couldn’t get enough of getting to know new people. I met some awesome people there, most of my new firends are those from the entertainment team but I also got to know a very funny couple, Sandra and Mike. They are from Great Britain and have the best humour ever (especially Mike). I had some really good chats with them.

The food was also something worth mentioning, I have never seen that much food before. They had big buffés to every meal and since we had all inclusive we could chose whatever we wanted to. They had pretty much everything one could wish for there. I was never hungry or disapointed when I left the restaurant. They had different themes every day as well, so one day there were speciallities from Morocco and another day international food or oriental food. All the chefs were really nice and we got the best service you could ever imagine. I work as a waitress here in Sweden and I thought I was really friendly and great at what im doing. But after seing them I think I really need to work on my skill just a bit more.

I don’t know what more to say other than I really liked it and just 2 days after I got home I booked another trip back to the very same hotel. If you ever go to Agadir then you really should stay at the Coralia Club La Kasbah

The Lion King

It was the day of the performance yesterday and we still hadn’t got everything right. So all of us were quite nervous about showing it to the public. I was one out of six in the first scene, the opening dance, and my starting pose was to be flat on my belly on the (quite dirty) floor doing some silly moves (that I inventeted, so when I was there on the floor the first time I was thinking to myself, “why the hell did I suggest we’d do this”). I was relieved when it was to an end and the audience seemed to like it too. I was not in so many scenes since I didn’t have a big part, I played hyena, lion and one other animal I don’t know the name of in English and it doesn’t really matter.

Here is a picture of how some of us looked in the face (click here) including me. At this momet I don’t have any other pictures now since I was in the show and couldn’t take any photos but hopefully I get some pics and a dvd with the entire show.

One of the Hyena scenes were really really cool since we had all black clothes with white stripes on them, there was a black light and other than that it was pitch dark. We crept in from the back so the audience didn’t notice us at first. It created a really scary feeling. I can’t wait to see that scene on the dvd.

Usually my class has big problems with doing stuff together because there is always someone who is really negative and doesn’t wanna do it but this time every single person did theirpart as good as they could. I am so proud of my class =)

Maybe I will post some more pictures when I get them and I might even post the video at youtube.

Morocco and the Lion King

Now it has been more than a week since I wrote last I think, I’ve been quite busy with work and homework. It feels good to know that I only have 2 more tests before Christmas, one in German and one in computer knowledge. Though the best thing is that we don’t have any normal lessons at all since we are using all time to get the musical done. My class is doing the Lion King as a musical and we got 2 and a half weeks to get it ready. From writing the script to a finished preformance with live music, singing and dancing. The 14th of December at 13.00 the first show takes place, that time we will preform in front of the entire school. Later that very same day at 19.00 it is time for anyone else who wants to see us. I’m really looking forward to it and my entire clas is working so hard to get everything done in time. Another thing that is good with the musical is that after we finished it we also finish school for the year (or at least most of us I still have 2 test).

Every day that pass is one day closer to when I go to Morocco, the first day of next year my sister, her bf, best friend and me goes to Agadir in Morocco. It will be great with some sun but still a bit wierd that it is hot in winter.

I will tell you all how the show went well or if it was a total fiasko =P
