Nice Change!

At my school we have a subject called pedagogical leadership where we had to prepare and hold lessons in front of an entire class. I chose to teach in History, about the indians with two other girls from my class. It was a terrible lesson because they had prepared too much and I only got 10 minutes to tell the class about the Inka indians that I had prepared. To make it worse my phone started ringing when I was up there, I had turned the sound off but it was still vibrating on the desk. The phone rang totally 4 times and I hated whoever it was that interupted me.

After the lesson I checked my phone and didn’t recognise the number but I still called back to see who it was because it was obviously very important. My sister had called from her boyfriend’s appartment. I think I would go crazy when I understood what she wanted… I have heard that question a few times too many now these last days. She wanted to borrow some money, so I asked her how much but all she said was “I don’t know”. She wanted to borrow money so that she could afford to go to Egypt or Morocco with her boyfriend and best friend. I wasn’t really sure I wanted to lend her so much money but when she said she really wanted me to come too. I felt like it was a fair deal because I have wanted to go somewhere outside sweden for a few months now but haven’t had anyone to go with.

Earlier today we decided that it will be Morocco 1-8 january 2008 =) and tomorrow we are going to get shots at the hospital and also pay everything. It is going to be so much fun =) I’m really looking forward to it.

And one more thing I’m really looking forward too is that my class is going to do a musical or play the last weeks of this term. That means no homework and a lot of acting and singing =) Fun, fun fun!!!

Now I’m going to call my sister and decide when to meet tomorrow :)

Unbelivable!!!

I can’t believe what happend today! It almost never happens and it will definetly never happen again. About three weeks ago there was a new gambling option in the shop where I work at and I thought I should try it out so I knew what I was talking about. I still don’t really know how it works, but at least now I know how to guess the results. The game is for those who really knows everything about the games that are being played. Which teams are the best and most fit at the time and so on. So since I know nothing about that I just guessed my way through it.

Well, I forgot about that note i had in my wallet and found it only today when I was emptying the wallet of reciets. I didn’t think I would win anything so I actually thought about just throwing it away. Allthough I reasoned and realised that it actually could be a few kronor if I was lucky.

And I was lucky, not just a little bit either. I won 19 042 swedish kronor (3024USD) and that is just insane!!!

A very interesting thing is that I told one of my friends about winning the money and at the brake after the next lesson everyone knew it and corngratulated me. It is really amazing how some things can spread so fast.

This was just what I needed for my trip to USA in april. I’m going to have so much fun there and I’m really looking forward to it. =)

Can’t wait ’til it’s Christmas

Tests, test and even more tests. Work, work and just as much work. After 2 days with 4 tests and work I am starting to long for Christmas. I won’t say that i dislike working and studying a lot, but I still can’t help to think how great it will be when Christmas arrives and I know that I can really relax and sleep as much as I want. Also that Christmas feeling is great, I know it is a little bit early, but I have already started listening to Christmas music and started thinking about how I should decorate my place. Maybe I started thinking about it early because I have my own place to decorate and it is the first time ever it is all mine.

I really love Christmas, some people say that it has turned in to a such comercialised and destroyed but I think it neccesary to really bother about stuff like that. Christmas for me is a time I spend with my family and relatives. It is really cosy with all the decorations and lights and the Christmas food.

I have heard that many people thinks that it is wierd that we in Sweden watch TV as a tradition for Christmas, and I have also heard that some people believes it is a joke. But it is actually true, at 3pm at Christmas day (we celebrate Christmas on the 24th) most Swedish people watch a show with mostly cartoons and children shows.

After that, at least in my family, we eat the Christmas dinner with Swedish meatballs (my favorite), Christmas ham, small cute sausages (we call them prince-sausages), and hot wine punch (I have no idea if this is exactly what I mean cause I have never used that word in English before, but it is really sweet and tasty). The hot wine punch we usually drink while the presents are handed out and that is one of the best parts about Christmas =) I love presents.

Well anyway, I’m going to go get ready now because I’m going to the cinema tonight.

Drawing!

Yesterday when I was cleaning my room I found an unfinished drawing that I started some years ago. I just put it on my desk and didn’t really thought much of it for the rest of the day. When I got home from school today I was really tired and slept for about 2 hours.

My head was aching and it was really great to get some sleep, I obviously didn’t sleep enough the last days. It was great to get some sleep and when I woke up again I felt much better. Right now my head hurts a lot again but as soon as I have finished writing im gonna go and get a painkiller. Back to the story, I didn’t really have anything to do wehn I woke up so I decided to do some maths since I have a test on thursday but after a while that wasn’t fun anymore.

I walked around in circles in my room a few times, frustrated that I couldn’t decide what to do next (that must have looked really silly I realise now when I think about it). Then I spotted the drawing, leaned my head to the side and said hmm to myself (also very silly, I’m glad no one saw me :P ).

You might already have figured out that I had decided to do some drawing. It is stupid that I haven’t been drawing since I came home from Germany, cause I like doing it so much. I really need to do it more often. The only problem would be that I don’t really have that much time. But at least over christmas im gonna do it, because I really wanna finish my drawing. It is a pretty big one with a lot of details, so it will take quite some time to do it. I think I will post it here when it is finished, just hope it will look ok :)

Now I’m going to get that painkiller and get in to bed and get some more sleep. Wish me good luck for my test on thursday and have a good day or night or whatever time of day it is. Night!

Cowgirl!!!

I love my new job =) it was the first day yesterday and the first theme was country since it was going to be a country party. Everyone who was working there had to wear country inspired clothes. I was a waitress and had to wear jeans, a white shirt, red scarf and a cowboy hat. it looked really cool when all of us had the same kind of clothes.

Today it is also country party, but the rest of the weekends until christmas it is christmas theme and I am very excited to find out what we are going to wear then.

Now I have to go and get ready for work

I got the job!

Crazy as I am, I applied for another job when I already had 2 and school to take care of… Luckily I can chose when I want to work so I just have to plan that very well to make it fit with my other 2 jobs (and im going to give myself time to study as well). Right now im sick so I have plenty of time to catch up on all essays I have neglected to start and later today im actually going to school to do a test… I don’t want have that hanging over my shoulder when christmas is closing up. In my school we have 3 days before Christmas when all who has got something unfinished have time to finish it but I’d much rather be free those extra days.

The test I have later today is really easy but I still had 100 pages to go through to make sure I actually did knoweverything there is to know about PowerPoint. We have an extra course in school where we get to take a computer “drivers license” (ECDL/ICDL = european or international computer drivers license.

When they offerd us this I thought “why not… it’s not gonna hurt to take it, it will look good in my CV” but I didn’t expect that I would have to devote so much time to it. And, since I have a nasty habit of pushing everything to the last second I still had 70 pages left yesterday evening. Right now I only have 20 pages left and I am actually pretty happy that im sick today so that I have time to finish it. Next time I will definetly start earlier.

Now I’m going to get back to my ECDL book and study hard so I can pass the test. Have a nice day to you all =)

I’m BACK!

So it was a long time ago I wrote, but that is because I have been so busy with school starting and a new job I had to learn. Now everything from the first rush is settling down and a very special person asked me why I hadn’t been writing anything for such a long time. My new job is being a waitress at the four star restaurant Sand which belongs to the hotel Skansen in Båstad.In my oppinion they should have five stars but since they don’t have roomservice 24/7 they won’t get it, at least that is what I have been told.

I was so nervous the first day I was going to work there since I have never worked at a real restaurant before and they wanted me to try working in the evening, that is when it is most crowded and complicated. I was terrified of doing mistakes, I neither had the strength nor the balance I needed to do it without feeling nervous.

I did good that day and got the job, but the second time I worked I made a big mistake. There is one part of the restaurant where 4 big round tables are situated quite close to eachother and right there in the middle of all these 4 tables with a full restaurant looking I could feel that I slowly lost the ballance of the plates I had on my left hand. Since I had another heavy plate in my right hand I could do nothing but wait until they fell. It felt like ages before it hit the floor, like it was in slowmotion. It gave room for a lot of feelings of embarrasment of what would happen.To make it even worse those damn heavy plates sound like a gunshot when they hit the floor. I was lucky though that none of them broke and that none of them had any food left. 3 other waiters came hurrying to help me and I felt my whole body trembling, it was really scary becasue I could not keep my hands steady. Luckily the kitchen was not too far away, so I brought the plates there and then sat down to drink a bit of water to calm down. I love my co workers, because of how much tehy help me whenever I have any problem. This time it was Louice who told me about the time when she spilled soup over some coustomers, that made me feel a bit better, mostly because I realised that dropping plates once would not lose me my job.

School… some of my friends I was suposed to graduate with told me that the last year was going to be the worst of them all. Others has said that it was the second… so far I believe the others. We have had a hard week or 2, allthough my weeks has been tough otherwise as well because of working much.

After 3 weeks of working and studding all the time it was time for the Germans to visit my school. That was something I had been looking forward to since it was students from my school in Germany who were coming here. Since I now live on campus at the old hotel where the school is I couldn’t have a German at home, but i promised to take care of one of the Germans who didn’t get a family and who were going to stay at the hotel as well. My German ended up to be Christoph, age 16. (Christoph)

He is a really nice guy and we had a lot of fun with all of the other Germans, the best part was when we were going to Denmark. We got as far as to the Öresunds bridge but there we were stopped because of a major accident on the bridge. We were not allowed to pass so we went to Malmoe instead and there we found a place we could play Laserdome. It was the first time ever I did that and i really loved it. It was so much fun even though I almost finished last. That day my last thoughts about joining the Swedish defense left me. I would be dead before we even met any enemies =). More timefor traveling then =).

The last thing I want to write today is that I am really looking forward to April, because then I will go to USA for 3 weeks. It will be an awesome experience.

Cat’s – cute lovable sweeties or evil monsters?

Tiger

I thought my cat was really calm and would never hurt a soul… or well at least not as long as you don’t provoke him, hehe. oh well, just before I was going to sleep I was sitting in my bed cuddling with my dear cat Tiger. He really loves when u scratch him behind his ears and all around his neck, so that was what I was doing. after a few minutes I decided it was enough and leaned back to just look at him settling down as he normaly would do, then it came, really suddenly, out of the blue, he just jumped on my arm and bit me really really hard. I was all shocked and just looked at him sitting on the floor where he had ran of too. I was so angry at him, I felt like I wanted to roll him in ash or something (I know that sounds very funny, but it was what I could come up with now, then atm I had many evil thoughts running thru my head hehe). Instead I decided to get out of my room and tell my mom, cause I know when he is angry he might bite the same person again. she kicked him out of the house for the night and helped me clean the cuts.

The next morning (this morning) my arm was a bit swollen and very sore, but Tiger he had obviously forgotten about it cause he was cute and lovable once again. The question is now if he is a nice little cute cat or if he is an evil monster. I didn’t do anything to provoke him, so I think I should be careful just cuddling with him too much. whatever he is I still love him :)

Porto from Audio Pro

I am just overexcited now, I just opend my new little toy that my dad brought home for me today (but I had to pay it on my own). My uncle is a part owner in a company called Audio Pro and they have a new portable speaker for ipods called Porto. I have wanted it since I was it at my uncles house in april, but I had to wait until now to get one cause they were so popular.It loooks really good and the sound is surprising for coming from such a small speaker. I also have the stereo called Stereo One from his company and it also has great sound but small and cool speakers. Check it out, it is really good stuff they have :)
